The Color Of Nature
Jul 18 '08
The Bottom Line At another site where I'm a member, I (along with any other interested party) was asked, "If nature were not green, what color would it be?" This was my response...
If nature weren't green--representing life and growth--, would it be red to represent the blood that is also life-giving?
Or, would it be yellow like the sunshine that energizes creation with its warmth?
Perhaps, it would be clear like the rain that nourishes us with water.
Neon might be a possibility because that would be like the rainbow that glows over a freshly-washed creation when the sun shines on it just right.
Perhaps, it would be white to show the purity of nature--or even black to be a backdrop for the moon, stars, and the moon-illuminated clouds that make up the oceans and islands traveled by the sailing moon.
Nature, I believe, isn't a single color but, instead a supersized crayola box!
