What In the World is Happening To Me?
by imprimis2 | Jul 31 '08
Some people have nightmares, some have dreams--and then, there's some, like me, who think they're awake when they're really not.

I do have a deck of tarot cards...if there's some type of "extraterrestrial" explanation for your response...but they affect me only a couple of weeks after they've been activated.

In a general sense, when they're being used, they always give a positive message (in conscious life.) Perhaps the cards have a secret second meaning I've not deciphered yet?

Reading your essay reminded me of the book "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat"...There was a chapter on a person who more or less suddenly did not experience his limbs as belonging to him/her. (It 's been awhile since I read the book)

I hope you have resolved your problem since writing, otherwise you might not enjoy your sleep so much.

Another possibiltiy is that you have become interested in occult matters and could be bothered by demons. Many people don't believe in there existence. But if you purchased items second-hand or received a gift shortly before beginning to have those problems you might want to explore the possibilities.

Best wishes, and keep writing.

where I have also had eerily lucid dreams . I don't know what causes them...but I have even had conversations in my dream where I tell myself I am dreaming and wake up...but I'm actually still dreaming. You can wake up with your heart racing for sure. Hasn't happened in a while. Sorry I can't help you explain the why part. I really don't know.
