Actually . . .she (kfh) mistyped when she left that URL. Those she did get it right when she quoted the site's 'customer support group'.
it is simply Experienceproject.com ...no 'the' in the URL.
It looks like a great place to find others with similar problems, judging from their home page. Just does not look real . . .'positive' to me.
Maybe the involved user's experience differs.

I'm going to give you until around nine-thirty by our shared Hoosier-style time to give me a referral link to this new site, if there IS such an animal. Or, I will sniff around for it. Anyway, if I don't find one by then (or ten at the latest), I'll go ahead and join on my own. But I'd prefer for you to be the one to refer me! Thanks for filling me in.
As for myself, I'm also sentimental about this place and hope not to be a stranger here, either. However, the new place sounds like something I'd like to join.

Well, late again to the farewell party. So sorry to hear you're leaving here, especially since we began the same day in '99. I know what you're disappointed in, though, and am not surprised. Thought of you today because I posted a review of Harry Connick Jr.'s Only You concert DVD and you commented on bob tomato's review of it that you think Harry's hot. He sure is in lots of ways! I'm still subscribed to people to read their stuff - that will never change. You see, I just didn't read you (in the past) because it would lead to something...like another penny or another truster.

When someone as well known such as Kristinafh leaves you know their is problems. When I first started this site, I thought she ran it... seriously... she is that well known. It is sad to see her go, but heck I cant say I blame her. I am just shocked that epinions does not see a HUGE problem when their most popular reviewers are sailing ship.
I left a long time ago... I still stop in, I still read and rate. As far as writing though, no... the grass is greener on the other side. One day... if this site changes, I will come back to review, till then though... I prefer the pastures I roam in now. The sad thing is, I write for more than one site, and truly if epinions was a bit more fair with its members, Id likely write here as well. The way things look though, its a no for now. Some of you members have sent me fond farewells, and others were downright nasty to me. You know who you are, and truly is the few cents you make in IS worth the negativity?
Anyhow, farewell Kristina... odds are we will meet up again on another site. ; )

I finally decided to come back and utilize this place, and you were the first member I sought out from the old days! But after reading your well-written piece, I'm starting to regret my decision! I'll give it a try for a couple of weeks, I guess ... I'm sorry to hear about all the negative changes, but I'm glad you decided to leave your old reviews.:-)

I often feel the same way, Kristina, but somehow I stick around. I joined Epinions Nov. 25, 2000, almost a year later than you did, but it's been just the past two years when I've really written a lot for Epinions.
The ten for ten copmetitions have bene irritating, since they encourage so many people to post substandard reviews to get a dollar.
On the "bright" side, I've tried Helium and found them even worse than Epinions for communcation, and I've tried Word Press, but my posts alwyas come out blank, and tech support does not help, and I've tried a few other sites like Review Stream, but each site has its onw problems.
I'm hoping the Epinions will get back on track, but in the menatime, I will nto be as active as I was in the past couple years.

...as always, Kristina. I haven't been here as long as you and Alex and others and I still find the last year or so here frustrating.
The communication from the Eps staff to the membership just plain sucks. It is better now that the engineers and Almar are being responsive at the GeneralMessageBoard, but they still don't seem to get (no matter how many time the point is brought up by many different members there) that only a few of Epinionators frequent that page.
I don't understand why we are almost never given a prior warning before any major update to the site is done (usually with catastrophic results that don't get fixed for weeks... and some if ever!). At other sites I frequent, I'm always warned either via mass-email or onsite-messaging if there is a site maintenance scheduled 2 days in advance so I would know not to log on to see a blank or other variety of non-functional page during the appointed time. Here... blind-siding the membership is the rules rather than the exception.
Anyhow... you know all that already. I'm glad you did find a greener pasture elsewhere and still drop by here sometimes.

More and more, I think of a scene in THE RED SHOES, where the old set designer finds a broken flat, just before curtain up, weeps and shouts something like: "The fools! FOOLS! They've ruined it. Ruined it!"
That problem turned out to be solved easily, but Epinions longtime growing dunderheadedness will not be solved easily. And no greater evidence might be had than your explanation for your departure. That someone as smart, loyal, informed and passionate should be leaving is . . . well . . . like Lehman Brothers announcing bankruptcy while a group of Republican dimwits cry, "The fundementals are SOUND."
Epinions management, Kristina, can't remember December, 1999, when you and I started, any more than the Bush-McCain Gang are willing to remember 1929!

I'm not going to go into detail on it here, because I have other plans - but I know what you're saying and where you're coming from.
I just want to say a big THANKS because even though you may not know it, you've been a big support to me over the years. I looked to you and several other members almost as mentors.
I'm glad you've elsewhere found the community spirit Epinions has lacked lately, and hope everything goes well for you.
