Pros:An RPG Great
Cons:Playstation has a slow load time entering into battles
The Bottom Line: This is an awsome game. I would consider it a must have for anyone who is in to RPGs.

I originally played this game when it came out in 1994 for the SNES. I rented it from the video store. The first time I played it, I was instantly hooked. I found out this was a rare game and it took me several years to find a copy of it. Back in 1996 and 97, this game sold in game stores for as much as $90 USED! Thats how rare and popular this game was for SNES. A few years later I found it on the Playstation for $40. I bought it to see how it was improved from the original. The graphics were slightly better, but the time it takes to load entering into battles is slow and annoying on the playstation. After playing it for a while, you stop noticing it, but I still prefer the SNES version overall.

Playing
This game is mainly played on battle fields. When you are not on the battlefield, you are on the world map. There you can take time to edit your character and put them in to battle units. There are many different classes your characters can become. In the beginning, most will start at low classes. The lowest will be (male)fighter and (female) amazon. Over time leveling up, your characters will be given the chance to upgrade into better classes. 33 different human classes in all including special ones .You can also have beast characters as well, like dragons, and there are about 42 different beast classes. On the battlefield, you move your battle units to liberate cities to generate income. One you get into a battle with an enemy unit, its all automatic. You can choose the battle tactics and use spell cards, but the characters control themselves.
Its fun to watch the the characters fights by themselves without having to control them all.

Graphics and sound:
It may not have 3D graphics like FF games, but still they are great. The music is cool. No complaints

Replay value:
One of the greatest thing that makes this game so different from others is the multiple endings and each time you start a new game, the storyline will always develope a little differently. There are many reasons for this. One is what questions you answer in the beginning when creating your character. That determines if your character will later turn out evil, get a low or high reputation, what magic spell he will have, ect. Another one is what choices you make in the game. A Third is who you meet and what hidden towns or items you discover. If you miss things, people may react to you differently or may not give you special items.A fourth one is the overall alignment of your characters. If you have too many evil characters that can drive down your reputation. And finally, how well the towns that you liberate like you. These things all affect the outcome of the game.

Learning Curve
In my opinion, it wasnt that hard to learn how to play. Learning how to use the controls on the battle map took some getting use to but not difficult.
