Thank you very much e-clair. Yeah sometimes a review does not fit a product and it is not always obvious. But it is great to have the writer's corner.

Thoams - found your Tintin review today, as promised. I agree with you it's hard, at times, to know where to post 'misfit' reviews like this, but as per our recent e-convo, I'm very glad you found a suitable home for your Tintin comparison review after all. It's fantastic!
Take care,
~Claire

Yeah it is the same for us. I totally agree with your assessment, however, these books were written in the 1930's, 1940's, 50', by a European with old fashioned views. It is a problem; however, kids seem to understand that this is yesterdays mode of thinking.

Tintin my kids' reading vice... (Reply to this comment)
by jenniferkateab
Loved your choice of topic and ratings for all the Tintin books. We had an ample supply of Tintin novels in our bookshelf from before our kids were even born. They got hooked on them from about 3rd grade on up. They will read them over, and over, and OVER again ~ we had to put a stop to it after awhile! Our library also stocks them and the kids order them and pick them up regularly.
My only complaints with Tintin are the antiquated stereotypes of people of color, as well as some pretty serious drug use (like in the Blue Lotus and some others). Otherwise, I love the Captain's expressions ~ my son tends to talk like the Captain without even realizing it!
Best ~ Jennifer

Thanks for your comment and help again.
I don't know yet how have items added to the data base. Don't worry about helping me with this unless you know right on top of your head. I should do some research too.

ha..!!
you said...
". . .but all swear words have been replaced by expressions like 'billions of blue blistering barnacles'..."
I luvs me a little alliteration..!!
I still think you should consider having these added to the site database as time allows you to review them. Hey, becoming known as the site or web expert on any subject is not a bad thing..!!
Also, you might want to add links back to the original review(s) from this essay.
Hey, great positive response to a . . .'challenging' comment and rate elsewhere. Behavior like that is noted and remembered site-wide.
