Rediscover Your Hometown Write Off – My 500th Review

Today marks two milestones during my time at Epinions. I am celebrating my 500th Review with my first ever Write Off. It is also my 9th Anniversary writing here. I have participated in many write-offs over the years, but have never hosted one.
The concept behind this write off is simple. With the economy putting a strain on budgets, low cost vacations are an important way to save money. There are hidden gems in everyone’s backyard that can make for a low budget trip. It may be a Monument, a State Park, a Museum, a Historical Landmark, an Amusement Park, a Zoo or even a nice Restaurant. The objective here is to find something within driving distance that would make for a nice daytrip. I have contacted CR01 (Chris) and SurgRN911 (Di), the Category Leads for Travel and they have graciously agreed to SAP any Destinations that are not already in the database.
It would be nice to get a healthy response for my first ever write off. If you want to participate, simply link-back to this page in your review and place your review URL in my comments section. I am looking forward to my first write off! Submissions will be accepted from December 1, 2008 through the end of January 2009. So if you have already submitted a travel review this month, go ahead and submit the link.
