More than just a "geek" store. ThinkGeek is a great store.

Geek-a-tude aside ThinkGeek is really a great online retailer. From the well designed website to the unbelievably outstanding customer service ThinkGeek stands out as a leader for online retailers of any product.
I cant even guess at how much I have spent at ThinkGeek over the years but it's a lot by any standard. Given the many items I have bought and that so many are "cutting edge” tech there have been surprisingly few problems. But a couple have cropped up over the years. First and foremost ThinkGeek responds quickly to any complaint. Second they stand behind their product. If it fails, even close to a year later they refund or replace it at no cost to you. And without any hassle or flack. Just a friendly apology, return shipping paid and its all taken care of.
Geeks sometimes have a tendency to overdo the "Latest Gratest" and that often shows up in slick "cool code" laden websites. Cool to look at as long as you have a great, fully updated computer running the OS and web browser that they want you to but otherwise unusable. The web designers at ThinkGeek have resisted the urge and decided to develop a website that anyone can use from any browser and most of all do it without having to struggle to understand the layout. And yet it still looks really cool. All web designers should have a look at the ThinkGeek site and take note. (Take NOTES Not Code)
Product is admittedly "geeky" but then it is ThinkGeek. That said its not only the geeks that can find a gem or two in the large selection so don't let the "G" word scare you cool people off. There is a little something for everyone there and many very useful items for anyone.
Our only problem with think geek is that my wife and I have a wish list now that's spanning well into the thousands. We can dream cant we?
