I have gone through quite a few hand mixers in my cooking days. While out shopping one day I picked up a Farberware hand mixer since it was one of the brands I haven't tried. Well let me tell you it has proven to be unbeatable. It's lightweight, comfortable design is easy to handle even for the toughest bread doughs.

It has a Lo/Hi speed button the "LO" speed setting operates speeds 1-5; the "HI" speed setting operates 6-10. There is also a Turbo Boost Button especially designed for tough mixing tasks. This feature allows you, from any speed setting, to increase the mixing speed to the maximum power level.

It comes with a set of beaters and dough hooks for heavy batter. There is an eject button to push for removing the batters. This has proven to me to be a good mixer.
