I just got the homecenter.com runaround. Last night I placed an order for four faucets. It clearly stated on their website that there was a 5.00 handling fee for Kohler order, but after the first item, it was still 5.00. They contacted me today to let me know that there was only one faucet available and the rest were discontinued. I asked them to send me a new total for the one faucet. My new total arrived with a handling fee of $13.98. I immediately emailed them to cancel the order. When I received no repsponse, I called. The agent said they would lower the handling fee to $5.00. I declined, let them know I was done, and needed them to cancel the order. After putting me on hold, the agent informed me that I would have to email another email address to have the order cancelled.
I emailed the additional address, and the following auto reply came back. "Your order is not yet cancelled! Do not purchase the items elsewhere or assume that your order can be cancelled. We have received your request for cancellation of your order. We will contact you stating that your order can or cannot be cancelled."
Really? I think not. I called American Express and cancelled it for them. This is a scam.
