Anyone who sipped on a pretty cup of gevalia knows that its gamma radioactive isotopes will mutate your taste buds so that you will never forget what Ewwww means. I did it and it works! I havent bought gevalia since! Good until the first drop.

Sorry I don't. I've never tried that coffee. One suggestion is to find out how deeply roasted the coffee is and try out some similarly roasted beans.

Rec needed for a Decaf (Reply to this comment)

I don't know enough about coffee to know the right terms to use, but my fave coffee is Starbucks Verone Decaf. I think that means I like strong coffee, but not bitter coffee. I would continue buying the Verona decaf, only I object to the cost! I have a $2 off caribou printable coupon (get it at coupons.com). do you know a coffee similar to verona decaf that caribou makes?

Just added one that barely made a 5 in my book.

If you're referring to instant then I'm not too interested in starting down that path.
I look forward to reading your review. I'm not a big Starbucks fan, but they have surprised me here and there.

Have you ever thought of (Reply to this comment)

reviewing some of the General Foods International Coffees? Some are very good if you want a quick cup of coffee without waiting for it to brew. On brewed coffee, I'll be reviewing Starbucks French Vanilla in a few days (yum!)

I'm not sure if my expectations are too high or if it doesn't exist and someone is keeping it for themselves. For it to get a five it has to have a smooth taste to it which means that it is a fine balance of acid and bitterness, along with some floral notes to it (or a chocolate component instead of floral). No unpleasant aftertaste with some pleasing flavors that linger in your mouth. My fours have some of these characteristics, just not all of them.
Thx for the comment,
Alan

It's almost like you read my mind :)
I find it interesting that you haven't found any "5 star" coffees yet. Wonder why?
Great job!
