I agree with your no.1 - though I put Dark Knight as its equal.
There are four on your top ten that I haven't seen yet but want to - Son of Rambow, Rachel Getting Married, Slumdog and Benjamin Button - not quite sure about Tropic Thunder, looks funny but a bit crass for my tastes. The fact that you like them gives me renewed confidence that I'll enjoy those movies!

a year for Downey. Both of the films you mentioned would also be in my Top 10, if I were ever to do one. I wasn't as impressed by Benjamin Button, though. I hope to catch up to Son Of Rambow at some point. Thanks for sharing!
