WHAT'S A GOOGLE?
"Googol" is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros, a very large number. The website states that this is where they got their name. There isn't a googol of anything in the universe. Not stars, not dust particles, not atoms. Google's use of the term reflects the company's mission to organize the immense, seemingly infinite, amount of information available on the web.
My Use
I have been using Google.com ever since a friend referred me to it stating that “it’s the fastest on the web!”. And after getting tired of using the slow Search button on my Explorer toolbar I decided to give it a try. I have always found what I’m looking for as I see what Google.com found similar in my query and the website before I click on the link. This way you can tell what sentence matched your query without searching for it on the website and also, learn figure out if it really found what you want.
First and Foremost!
You will not find any Pop-Ups while using Google.com. If you read, they will tell you they find them annoying. If you are getting pop-ups you might be at a “squatter” site! I love this about a site, finally, someone who thinks about the user and not their pocket change!
Save Time
Do yourself a favor and download the Google Toolbar for free. When you download the toolbar it will be placed on your Web browser so you have easier access. You can search the Web with easily and use the bar to navigate and examine individual sites
Most Enjoyable Part of Google.com
Are you feeling lucky? If you are, after you type in the words you want to search, hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky™" button for Google to open the first site returned in your search.
You Rang?
Google.com has a built in PhoneBook which makes things easier! They have added US street address and phone number lookup so you can search for US business or residence at the site. Also, if you don’t want your information on Google.com but have found it through a search, you can fill out a small form with your information so that it is removed.
You can also search for maps on Google.com by just entering a street address.
Stock Quotes
You can use Google.com to get stock or mutual fund information by entering one or more ticker symbols or the name of a corporation traded on one of the stock indices. Watch for the right link to appear and it will take you right to your stock and mutual fun information.
Advanced Search
If you have some specifics words, phrase, or if can’t think of the exact word but want to find something similar, try out Google’s Advanced Search. Here you can choose to find by exact word, exact phrase, or omit words from your search. Omitting is a wonderful tool if you are searching for one thing but coming up with all the wrong sites. You can also choose to search for certain file formats, languages, date updated and domain.
In the Advanced Search you can also turn on SafeSearch which is a tool used for excluding pornography and explicit sexual content from turning up in your searches.
GoogleScout
When your search is returned you can click on Similar Links and their GoogleScout will search for websites that contain similar information as the one you are looking at.
Wonderful Technology!
Have you ever pulled up a site that looked interesting just to find out it’s in another language? Well, if you search with Google.com you’ve probably noticed a small occurrence of these sites. Google now can take pages that are published in Italian, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese and give you a link for a translated page. To enable these go to the option on the preferences page.
Interface Language
As you probably know if you are looking for non-English pages you may have a hard time. Google allows you to set your Native Language to help your searches help you! The language list they have is almost endless and also have options for you if your language is not on the list.

Overall
I highly recommend the use of Google.com for all of your searching needs! Believe me (well, and the other millions of people using it), it is the best out there. Also, I can’t state whether they have good customer service or not because I found all the answers to my questions at their site...which to me is much butter than having to ask!
