The sandwich would probably look and smell more appealing if the garlic and onion were cooked, but it's more effective if their raw. The only other thing they put on the sandwich is butter. Talk about yummy breath afterwards...

My mind's already racing ahead, and thinking of combos... Garlic, onion, and Miracle Whip. Add some tuna or leftover chicken breast or salmon. Mmmmm mmmmm....!

I'm a huge fan of garlic and onions; I eat them almost every day. That sandwich probably wouldn't taste half bad, lol.

You're welcome, and thanks for the feedback. Hmmmm...garlic and onion sandwich. Is it all raw? I can think of ways to "spice" that up..!

My grandmother swears by the power of garlic, and had several members of my family (not me, though) taking a garlic pill every morning for preventive measures. My husband swears by my aunt's cold remedy: a raw onion and garlic sandwich. It tastes and smells strong, but works.
Thanks for the good info,
Grace
