Tweet The Bottom Line The 67th World Science Fiction Convention committee recently announced the nominations for the 2009 Hugo Awards. UPDATE 14 August 2009: The awards were announced in Montréal on August 9.  The nominees in boldface indicate the winners. Anticipation, the 67th World Science Fiction Convention, recently announced the nominees for the 2009 Hugo Awards for excellence in the speculative fiction genre in 2008. The Hugo Awards honor both professional and fan work. The winners will be announced in August at the Hugo Awards Ceremony at Anticipation (aka Worldcon 67) in Montreal this August. Only supporting and attending members of Anticipation have the option to vote on the Hugo Awards. They can either vote through the mail or online when the ballots become available. Hardcopy versions of the ballot will be mailed to members or will be available at the Anticipation Hugo Awards page, http://www.anticipationsf.ca/English/Hugos.
