If you look at cover songs as nothing more than lazy songwriting, you're really missing out.

And though this isn't your cup of tee, I especially think Mariah's cover of Badfinger's "Without You" is the best cover anyone can do of that song. Hands down.

Again, great review! Well, list.

Cool list. I skimmed through each part of this series, and was pretty impressed by the variety of the covers you have listed. Here's a shortlist of my favorite covers:

1. "Black Magic Woman" by Santana (originally by Fleetwood Mac)
2. "All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix (originally by Bob Dylan)
3. "Bitches Ain't Shit" by Ben Folds (originally by Dr. Dre)
4. "Walk This Way" by Run-D.M.C. (originally by Aerosmith)
5. "Hurt" by Johnny Cash (originally by Nine Inch Nails)

These are a few of the covers that I feel are better than the original songs. What's your take?

Peace,
Kyle
