Been There, Done That, Won't Do it again!

Being in the military and frequently being overseas, or in locations where you just can't get that one item you need, I am a frequent catalog and online shopper.
I have had excellent service from many, many stores, very few do I have any complaints from. Outpost, however, has got to be the worst experience I have had so far.
Christmas was coming, and I wanted to buy my husband a DVD player, of course the Base Exchange had none in stock, buying out in town wasn't an option due to the voltage requirements. Many stores will not ship any type of electronics overseas. Outpost does.
Christmas came and went with no DVD player. After a 6-week wait, we finally got it. The custom form was labeled "hardware"... you know what that meant to the postal service! There was absolutely no packing material in the box, so the combination of the two didn't look too promising.
We plugged it in, turned it on.. Miraculously it worked.. as long as you didn't need a picture with your movie.
We did send it back, I can say with no problem from Outpost. I would like to say that is the end of my story, but, it's not. I am now 7 weeks into the second order I placed with them. An MP3 player for my son.. You guessed it for Christmas. You know what it is like giving your 15-year-old son an "IOU" for Christmas. Not cool, and not the way to get the mother of the year award.
I sent an email to them, as their web page states. Three days later, I still have not heard from them.
At this point, I will never order from them again. They may be fine for smaller items, but I wouldn't throw down any money on expensive items, or items needed within a timely manner.
