I've been using the ePipo surf window for about two months now. I only on the computer about 5 hours a week, and I have accumulated $1.17. Which isn't a whole lot, but for not doing anything it's pretty cool.
The SurfWindow
This is one of the best surf windows I have ever used. Not earnings wise, but compaitibility wise.
With All-Advantage and other surf windows, my computer went really slow. It slowed my page loads, and program loads. Epipo on the other hand, doesn't slow my computer down at all.
It takes up a bout an inch of your screen, and even tells you how much you have made right on the banner. So you don't have to log into their website to check out your account.
The Pay
Since the window doesn't make your computer slow, and if you are used to having a banner on your computer (ie a netzero banner) the six cents per hour is kind of worth it.
I say kind of because, well, what's six cents these days? You can't even get a one cent gumball at the grocery store anymore.
So their pay is ridiculously low, but I guess it's okay because what are you doing to earn it? Nothing. All you're doing is letting them put commercials on your computer screen.
Also, they have set a maximum hour limit. You are only allowed to surf for 150 hours per month with a double banner and 300 hours per month with a single. So the most you can make a month, by yourself, with maximum surfing is nine dollars per month. Which in a year would be, $108.00. Which I guess is pretty good, when you get that check at the end of the year.
Referrals
It seems that the only way to make real money with this is to have a ton of referrals. But they are a little sneaky when it comes to their referral system.
Your referral has to be surfing in the same hour you are surfing (with your banner open) to receive your two cents per hour for your referral.
I have three referrals and I haven't seen anything from them.
Conclusion
If you are a big time surfer, and can surf for 150 hours a month. You can make over one hundred dollars per year. But if you're like me, and hardly go online, it's hardly worth it.
I do recommend ePipo over any other surf banner, because it is the best one I have ever used.
UPDATE: February 5, 2001
Well, here's the update. On January 31, 2002, ePIPO went out of business! I only racked up $1.47 cents. Not enough to pay off. I guess that's the way it goes when it comes to "free money".
Now I'm off to find another surf window as good as this one was!
