Pros: No mechanics=reliable. Doesn't wear down. Space saver. Price/quality.
Cons: Not wireless. Unsuited if much cutting and pasting is done. Need better scrolling feature.
The Bottom Line: Absolutely buy this technology for web browsing and e-mail, not for graphics. Soft on hand and purse. Works forever. Consider upper products with extra features.

| thulemanden's Full Review: Cirque Easy Cat Touchpad |
A true alternative to the old wheel-based mouse.
Works by touch sensitive pad which means no hassle with dirt messing up the mouse's track ball. As you don't move the pad around, but let your finger slide across, it does not take up the same space on your desk. The technology is even available inserted into a keyboard (from Adesso) freeing up your desk entirely.
The much simpler technology compared to optical mice makes this a more reliable product.
As you don't hold on to this pad your old mouse injuries and pains do not show up. So cheap you can have another mouse type to vary your moves and lessen the strain on your hand.
Price varies a lot. Seen down to USD 15. Have been using this now for a couple of months and like it. A very satisfactory purchase. Works on Windows as well as Linux.
A few more months on the run and it is still fine. Someone asked how you click to select. Well, you double-pad it in fast sequence. To get the roll-down menu usually obtained by right-clicking, you activate the light-gray area in upper right corner.
The pad also comes with buttons right and left for the same purpose and for scrolling. This can be manipulated with your thumb while clicking or with your left hand.
I'm switching between a mouse and a pad, and I use the pad like 1/3 of the time.
