Yes, the graduate in your life is a student--a  prestigious scholar worthy of the title. Before bestowing endless books, though, consider this: Who is he as a person?

Thank you. If I were to lose a creative forum, I would be thoroughly devastated. Long live customization!

"Merci," she replied.

Then, considering that not one of her reviews was as excellent as a joyful comment, she petitioned Epinions Community Care to add a Most Helpful rating not to reviews themselves but to the comments that accompanied them. That failing, she wrote several comment-related poems and, realizing her inadequacy, finally wrote down and wrote a sagging:

"Merci beaucoup. Encouragement and exquisite are synonymous."

And made her exit, blessed that human interaction had not become extinct.

Nice.... (Reply to this comment)

"Nice," he said.

Realizing the inadequacy of this lone word to convey his true feelings about this bright, personal and effervescent review, he thought deeply for several moments. Then he brightened.

"Very nice," he added, and then he moved on...

Tessa,

What a beautiful thought! I always love receiving comments--particularly insights of such calibre as yours. Actually, after reading many of the others' responses, I was relatively certain that my entry would be perceived as frivolous. However, my optimism in life has not yet been dimmed and I still believe that learning to live is far more important than learning to be a millionaire. If, for any reason and at any time, I ever come to believe differently, will you and the rest of the Epinions community please come to my rescue by forcing me to live in a one-room efficiency apartment, feeding me on nothing save canned soup, and individualizing me to pieces until I learn how to feel, laugh, love, and cry again?

Blessings,

Nicole

I wish that I could rate this "most helpful" -- you made me laugh, cry and then laugh again!
