Adam is going to be stuck under the 19 Management contract just like Kris. Just because he finished second means nothing. They'll pick him up and market him.
This is a good thing.
Other than Elliott Yamin, who released anything without the AI marketing and sold any kind of records?

that Adam didn't win, but maybe it's for the best. At least he doeasn't have the problem of being stuck under the American Idol contract for a year. I predict Adam will go as far if not farther then Carrie Underwood.

Actually, Adam has already released No Boundaries on iTunes.
And he'll have just as much input if he'd won I'm going to imagine. They'd be stupid to not snatch him up, and I think win or lose, he's going to get pushed just as hard, or harder than Kris.

I was crushed, let down, disappointed, I was even livid to hear Kris Allen won! Adam was all smiling and hugging but God strike me down, I would have been PIIISSSEEEDD because we all know Adam would make a waaaayyy better (worldwide) career.
Still, it's kind of good. Adam won't have to release that crap that is "No Boundaries" and he'll have creative control on his debut! WOo!

I thought Adam and Kris both did well, though I wasn't overly impressed with either of them. And that final song...that takes horrible to a whole new level.
I still think Adam is the better performer and should probably win, though I wouldn't be surprised if Kris ends up winning..if people that voted for Danny all along switched to Kris, he could pull it off.

...two hours I couldn't get through for Adam. Then I started getting pain from a kidney stone. I didn't get one single vote in for my man, guyliner.
Kris just doesn't come across as "idol" material. Adam outperforms and out-sings him most every time. As far as being the "Idol", Adam should win it bt who knows where the votes are coming from. I also feel that Gorkey votes would go to Kris rather than Adam and if you recall, Kris and Adam were very close in votes last week. This thing, unfortunately, can go either way.
The only good thing about kidney stones is that I'm staying home from work tonight and will see the final show.
I'm hoping for an Adam win tonight and then I want to see him in Vegas when he gets his own theatre. I believe that with his voice and stage presence he will become as Paula noted, "iconic."
To me, he's that good.
I wonder if he'll share his make-up secrets. I wanna look like Jack Sparrow.

Check out the titles of both comments. Hilarious.
I thought it was one of the stronger finale episodes through the first two songs. That third song just wasn't good for each guy.
I think that if the music industry wasn't in shambles right now, Adam would have the chance to sell huge. He'll still do ok, but because of where we are, he's not going to do the numbers he could. He's way versatile in a market that needs versatility.

Not that I've seen all of 'em, but this was definitely the best finale of the last four seasons. Both contestants are legitimately talented, and both of 'em are fairly unique from one another. Adam brought the vocal heat, like always, and Kris just did Kris. And I like Kris. He's got a lot of personality. He's just a personable guy, and he's a little more rounded than Adam. Mind you, Adam still deserves the win by a mile. He might be the best voice this show has ever seen. But I'd buy both their albums. Y'know, hypothetically. If I wasn't broke.

I've been watching the show for eight years, and I think this year's finale was the worst ever. Kris Allen bores me (Do we really need another John Mayer/Jack Johnson/Jason Mraz?), and I just find Adam generally unpleasant. The only performance that I liked last night was "A Change Is Gonna Come." But then, as one commentator said, his tongue came out. Yuck. If Kris wins, I'll just be bored. If Adam wins, at least I can be happy about having a gay Idol. I think Cher probably wants Adam to win, so I do too.
