I recently purchased an item from thesportsauthority.com website. At the time of the order they claimed a delivery time of 3-8 days, and a couple of days later gave me a expected delivery date that was 4 days from the order date. I thought that was pretty good. However, more than 2 weeks later, I still had not received my goods. I spent hours every day on the phone trying to track my package and every day I was told that it would be delivered to me "tomorrow". Needless to say, this caused me a great deal of inconvenience as I had to have a friend wait at my apartment every day for the package (since I was at work). In the end, and after several hours spent on the phone, the customer service at sportsauthority.com didn't take any action to resolve my problem. In fact, several days later I was told by the customer service supervisor that my order was returned to the warehouse for some reason, and that if I still wanted the product, I should go place another order all over again or go buy it from a different website. This really made me angry. After completely bungling up my order and putting me through this inconvenience, the supervisor didn't even try to make things right. I demanded that since they had screwed up my order, they should resend it to me and not charge me for shipping. However, that demand was rejected and I was pretty much told that if I wasn't happy about it then I should take my business elsewhere.
This was not the type of response I expected from sportsauthority.com. I would never buy from them again!
