The Bottom Line I'm expecting a lot of reviews that are colourful as the Canadian currency.

I've been talking to my parents as of late and it's been making me a bit homesick to see everyone again back in British Columbia. A lot of changes have been taking place in lieu of the upcoming 2010 Olympics in which Vancouver, the host city, is preparing to bring the world at its doorstep. I was there when Expo '86 occurred in Vancouver and know what kind of activity it brought to the city. Those five months in 1986 put Vancouver on the global map. These sixteen days in 2010 will elevate its status.

So with that on my mind, it's only fitting that the beginning of July commences with my annual Canadiana Write-Off. Welcome to the 2009 edition, the fourth installment celebrating Canada's 142nd birthday as a unified nation occurring on July 1st, otherwise known as Canada Day. (Seriously, as one of the many Canadians who migrated to the United States, do I not get this day off as well? It would make for an extra, extra long weekend.)

For the full 31 days in July, I expect to be bombarded with reviews pertaining to Canada, no matter how miniscule the reference may be. It can be about anything... a song, an actor, a location, an invention, a memory, anything at all.

I'll list all participants and their reviews on this page. Drop me an e-mail or leave a link in the comment section, and I will post everything over here. Have fun with this, eh?

Here are links to past entries:

Side note: As it happens every year, my birthday is near the end of the month. Cash gifts are acceptable. Seriously, I have no shame. Just ask my wife.
