I just bought a Canon T2i DSLR camera this week. I ordered Monday. I received a same-day email confirmation invoice that stated the price I was being charged. They called me that afternoon to say I needed to call my credit card to verify a temporary ship address (bec my billing and ship addresses are different), otherwise I wouldn't receive free insurance. (So I guess if your address is verified insurance is included?) I did what they said right away one minute after I got off the phone with him. My only complaint so far (not yet having received the DSLR, so we'll see) is that when the rep called to tell me they couldn't ship until they verified my temporary ship address, he also said if I took care of it, then they would ship the next morning. Tuesday I got no confirmation email. Wed no confirmation email. However, I did notice they'd gone ahead and charged my credit card. It was the amount I'd anticipated. No extra insurance fees had been added. Now, I don't know if they will charge me separately for that as a nice surprise later. I emailed them at the email address from which they sent my invoice, explaining I was still waiting. No answer. I again wrote them at the email listed on their website. They responded Thursday by saying I needed to call to complete the order. REALLY? I had been waiting 3 days & they had taken no action. The sales girl called my credit card right then with me on the phone, which was great, and she was not unkind. But I don't know why they didn't do it on Tuesday as the first rep, Chris, told me. Now I'm waiting to see if the DSLR is shipped well and now, from other epinions reviews, I'm concerned it will be junky and the accessories will be cheaply made. I'm already annoyed at the complicated ordering process, the fact that my camera will now arrive late and that Chris was kind of impatient and cut me off on the phone. Not the smoothest customer service. I'm fully prepared to return the thing if it is not 100% awesome. I can buy it at Walmart for not terribly much more, and have a company guarantee and no bull.
