Only so much one can do in one review, oh difficult to please one... I considered the most accessible and likely to please.

"The Gneral" is fired by wanting to impress the girl.
THe temporal reach is good, but the geographical nonreach is disappointing.

Good suggestions of course a well done throwback to screwball comedies, What's Up Doc, is a pale imitation of the real deal which I have several examples of in my list already. Doc is a lot of fun to be sure.
Two for the Road is much more a drama than a comedy which is why it didn't make the list. A superb film to be sure.

But I can't believe you left off both WHAT'S UP, DOC on one end, and TWO FOR THE ROAD on the other.
Heigh-ho, as an old friend says (always mildly infuriating me).
Onward!
