You're right; it is actually refreshing to go there after spending some time here. There are no politics over there like there are here, and we haven't been offered to be paid there in a long time so nobody is whining about how much they are (or aren't) getting paid.
Just a warning before you go; most of AskMe is relatively free of abusers, but there are some boards that are really in ruin, with bickering amongst the experts and so on. But I can only think of two boards like that and all the rest are fine.
And it is more rewarding than epinions (though epinions seems more addicting). Despite not getting paid, you really get a lot of feedback from the people you have helped, without the though of how much you are making in the process getting in the way.
