The Top 10 Soundtracks You Should Listen Too.
by Pandemonium | Sep 07 '09
I still listen to each and everyone of these soundtracks from time depending on my mood and what I am doing. Some unbelievable orchestra play with some good solid songs.

I'm surprised that Transformers (the original one, not the sequel) is not among your top ten! I agree with your first 5!

I haven't caught all of these, but the ones I have, I totally agree with you on. It was especially nice to see Conan mentioned as the score was one of the things that made the movie memorable.

If you really do like soundtracks you might want to check out KFJC FM 89.7 (broadcasting out of Foothill College in Los Altos, California). On Saturday mornings, 9AM PST they broadcast the Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack Show with your host Robert J. Emmett. The show varies by a lot, some days it might be heavy into scifi, some days musicals, some days audio clips from old commercials or interviews with celebs.

You can catch it online at: http://www.kfjc.org/netcast/index.php

Best wishes,
Joy

It's hard to know, or recognize, soundtracks if you have not seen the movies of course. The ones on my list I could listen to without having the movie in. If you watch older movies, then you would not be familiar with these. You may like some of them and if you decide to listen to any let me know. I am curious.

Take care and thanks for the comment.

I am not familiar any of those scores, except for Gladiator, but my love of film harkens back to the classic days of Hollywood. I guess I better wake up. It's the nineties? I did enjoy reading the list, however.

seems pretty short--and ethnocentric.

I totally agree with you on the song "May It Be". Not sure if you have ever heard of a CD named "Pure Moods" but, it features Enya very well. When it came out you had to buy it off TV and I took a chance and did. Was worth the money as the songs are excellent. Just letting you know if you are an Enya fan like myself.

Thanks for the comment and see you around Epinion.

The song 'May It Be' by Enya is haunting. I love the version sung by Celtic Woman, Lisa Kelly.

Lord of Rings is my absolute favorite because of reading the Hobbit back in the mid-1970s. Frotto and Bilbo will always be treasured memories!

What? No Singles!!! That's numero uno in my book, but then again I'm a big early '90s rock fan. Good list.

I agree that Highlander has a very good soundtrack and I also am a big Queen fan. If I were to ever make another list, this might make it.

I also agree about the song Danger Zone and the beginning of Top Gun. I love how it starts with the theme song then as soon as the plane takes off it switches to Danger Zone. I always start it over at least once before I watch the movie lol.

Thanks for comments and see you around Epinions.

"Danger Zone" is one of my absolute favorite guilty pleasures. I can't count the number of times I watched the opening of Top Gun just to hear that song.

I always loved the Highlander soundtrack, but then again, I'm a ridiculous and unabashed Queen fan.
