I found Quicken Loans through a popup that led me to a site which gathered information and sent it to several finance companies.  Quicken Loans was the first to call.  I was very leary about giving our information over the phone but the agent was very good and put me at ease, assuring me that it was safe to give the information.  Everything from there went so unbelievably smooth.  The agent asked what our goal for refinancing was.  We told him that we were okay with the payment as it was but our main goal was to shorten the length of the mortgage.  We want to be sure the mortgage is paid off so that we can leave our children a mortgage free home.  He understood and, with a lower interest rate, kept our mortgage at the same payment but reduced the loan by 7 years.  From there our agent kept in constant contact with us and we exchanged information very simply.  When we were ready to close the attorney came to our house and we sat at our kitchen table to close the loan.  Never heard of that before!  We were very impressed with Quicken Loans and would recommend them to any of our friends or family contemplating mortgages.
