BEWARE: DO NOT ORDER FROM ULTA.COM! While the deals might seem great, there is a good chance you will get screwed. Here is my experience:
- Placed an order on 11/30. Large make up kit, 2 bottles of OPI (buy one get one half off), a bunch of samples, and because I spent over $30 - free shipping. Total order: $34.50. I was very happy!
- My order arrives - in a tiny box. It contains the free samples and ONE bottle of nail polish. I assume the rest will arrive later.
- The rest of the order never arrives. I go online to check my order and find that the rest of it has been cancelled because they are unable to fulfill it. Fine. What was not fine: Though they were the ones who messed up the order, I was re-charged shipping because my order now did not meet the shipping requirement. CHARGED ME $15! For one bottle of nail polish. I would have just canceled the order if I'd had the chance or opportunity.
- I called the Ulta.com "customer service", pressed 2 for online orders. It hung up on me. I did this 2 more times, got hung up on. Finally I pressed 1 for in store orders just to try to get a person. Waited on hold 15 minutes. After repeated prodding by the mechanical voice to submit my request online, I finally did so.
- Waited 5 days. NO RESPONSE.
- Today, I finally called again and this time got a person. I started to explain what happened, she rudely interrupted and said "yeah, what is your order number?" I gave it to her, started to explain again that I never received the order or notice that it was cancelled, she interrupted AGAIN and said "yeah, they're pretty good about sending notification so you received it". When I started to argue, she said "I'm crediting you the $5 for shipping, OK?" I said that I'd placed a request with customer service online, she said "yeah, our website sucks. You'll see that $5 in a few days. Bye"
I will NEVER ORDER from Ulta.com again, and I hope that other people heed this warning.
