Thanks so much again for good wishes! :o) I think it'll be a while yet before I can hang at Epinions as regularly as before. Been meaning to write a few CD reviews here, but just haven't got time at the moment. There's light at the end of the tunnel, though, I think. :o)

Thanks very much for stopping by! :o) Sorry I haven't been around here much. Been having a rough summer. Lost my job and then apartment and spent the last 2 months sort of moving around. Hope to get back to reviewing stuff here when everything is stable again, though. :o)
I didn't care much for operetta at first, though once I gave it a good go I have to say that there is some really gorgeous music in the subgenre! :o) Sometimes I wonder what Offenbach or Lehar would compose if they're alive today. Lots of good wacky stuff to make a satire about! ;o)

It's taken me a long time to tolerate operetta, but I confess that Les Contes des 'Offman and Die Fledermaus are favourites of mine. Great list, I'm going to have to look up some of these soon! -- Telynor

most operetta music repellant, though you do have the two tunes I find tolerable (Offenbach's Barcarolle and Lehar's Magic Widow Waltz) on your list.
