Buy.com has totally lost it since the last time I place an order with them over a couple of years ago (lucky for me, I have been finding better deals with Newegg and Amazon). I placed an order for a griddle last Thursday evening around 6:30pm. At 7:30am the next morning, I receive a cancelation notice from buy.com. Now any other on-line merchant I have delt with would not have even attempt to process my card until shipment was confirmed - But not buy.com. They had placed a $100 "hold" on my card which they initailly refused to remove stating it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to contact the card company, for just wait UP TO 30 DAYS for the hold to EXPIRE. Guess what, the card company said only the MERCHANT can remove the hold. After talking to someone in an overseas call center and sending another on-line request to remove the "HOLD" a couple of days ago so I can attempt to purchase the item locally, the funds are STILL UNAVAILABLE as of TODAY (SIX DAYS LATER AND COUNTING). This in my opinion is absolute BULL$#!^... Needless to say, I will never, ever think about shopping on their website ever again. There are plenty of more reputable merchants out there than these morons.
