Yeah Abba that is interesting
My 10-year old daughter loves ABBA.
My 12-year old son (and I) would love the Death Metal version of them.

Abba is actually the inspiration for many Swedish death metal groups. They grew up listening to that and went oh god, noooo, I want to listen to something completely opposite!
I'm waiting for a death metal cover of Dancin' Queen
(children of Bodom a finnish death metal band did a cover of Britney's Ooops I did it again!).
you are the dancin queen, young and sweet, only seventeen, dancin queen

That is very kind of you. ABBA is good. My daughter loves ABBA. However, there is also ZZ Top from Texas.

I have had a lot of fun reading the reviews in the write off so far.
From a computer geek's perspective, here is my entry: http://www.epinions.com/review/Dell_Dell_Precision_T3400_375W_64bitComputer_Workstation_Intel_Core_Duo_E4600_2_40GHz_DDR2_SDRAM_M_BWCW9Z66_PC_Desktop/content_488570719876

for the email...I have written on some products that are Sweden in origin but I currently do not have any more products to review...unless you want me to provide links to the products I have previously written on. If it is ok with you to post the old links of Sweden goods simply email me and I will provide the link and name.
Take care and I hope all is well.

I may have to go with ABBA. I will strain my brain and see if I can do something a bit less predictable.

If it's acceptable, I'll add a blurb about the writeoff. I have LOTS of Swedish music and some Texas Music too!

Yeah I would like to read a writers corner about your grand parents.
Don't worry about coming up with anything. If you do it is cool, if not it is still cool.
Thanks for stopping by Adrienne.

Yeah that's right but they come in other colors as well. If you find something (Swedish Fish, Texas Chili, or anything else), that would be cool.

by adriennefoster
My great-grandparents immigrated from Sweden, does that count?
The last time I visited Texas was in 1997 (well before I was even writing on-line reviews) and the only Swedish things I could think of that would qualify for your writeoff are Abba, Ikea, and ludafisk (sp?), none of which are in my categories. (...However, I tried some lingonberry juice last night and I'll be making Swedish meatballs Christmas Eve....)
I'd love to participate, but may not get around to it. You'll hear from me if I post anything appropriate, though.

Re: Gasp! (Reply to this comment)
by texas-swede
If you ask for Swedish Fish in Sweden they will most likely give you a jar of pickled herring. Swedish Fish is not sold in Sweden and is made by a Canadian company. However, a Swedish company developed a similar fish shaped candy for the North American market (under another name) and the idea was taken over by the Canadian company. Most Swedes know nothing about this.
Yeah it would be great if you came up with something for Texas. Thanks

You mean Swedish fish aren't really from Sweden? I'm shattered! I grew up in Texas, and I should be able to think of at least one big idea:)
