wow-that's a pretty sad thing when the employee's don't even want free long distance! My husband has Verison and hasn't had many problems(just the reporters he works with running up HIS minutes!) If I end up having to change again I'll likely go with Verison.

As a former WorldCom employee.... (Reply to this comment)
by jdhauer
.... I completely agree with your entire opinion.
I used to work for an Internet company that was bought out by WorldCom. What used to be a great place to work was quickly reduced to a miserable experience. I never worked with or dealt with any of the phone divisions but I can say this much: Employees were offered $25 a month in free long distance from home if they used WorldCom. I never took advantage of the offer.
I'm using a Verison cell phone here on the east coast which I'm happy with - unfortunately, the area of NoVA I live in has spotty AT&T service so that wasn't an option for me.

I've heard bad things about Sprint as well. Which is why I've never been tempted to try them. AT&T seems to be the only company left that understands the concept of customer service.
It sounds like you had a nice time-you picked the right time of year to visit Colorado-I don't blame you for not getting down into Denver-The mountains are just too nice!
If you are ever back in Denver let me know!

as pleased with MCI as I am with Sprint. Smart move, going with AT&T: they're sometimes a bit pricey, but you just can't seem to beat the coverage. The customer service is pretty good, too.
I've had MCI long-distance and calling card for years, and never any trouble out of 'em. Obviously a different "business unit" as they call them these days.
Just got home from a week near Fairplay (South Park). Shoulda looked you up! but didn't get any nearer Denver than the outlet malls at Silverthorne. Geez, how I miss the mountains!
Happy winter.
