Hi Megan,

You see cops usually portrayed as overweight bumpkins. I'm sure this type is out there as I've seen them on TV. However, the ones trodding on my property were in great shape.

My son is a Sgt with our county police dept and his wife is a Lt in dispatch. He was off duty the day of my excitment so was "out of uniform."

These cops work out! I'm glad they do, too, when I think of what's "out there." My son has chased men in the woods, over creeks, been shot at and who knows what else. I ilke the story he tells when he did his first chase over a creek--he fell in. :) He got his man though.

Have a great day!

thankfully no one was injured! I LOVE how you were checking out the fine men in uniform. Nothing ever happens in my neck of the woods --- seriously don't know what the police would do if there wasn't a DARE program. Apparently this young woman needs a remedial course!!! No one tells a story quite like you Dusty.

Hey T,

It's all true--the story tells itself!

About the feuding squirrels, they're comical to watch and the show is free. :)

Maybe so, but all that time lets you figure out how to tell a story. I would be interested in seeing a peice on the feuding squirrels; I am sure you would make it interesting.

Hi Pat,

I'm around 30-40 minutes from our local Walmart, bowling alley, movie theater, and restaurants. There's a gas station at the fork of my road and that's it. The local elementary school doesn't count--you're not gonna find excitement there! LOL.

As you can tell, it doesn't take much to get our attention.

We've been known to sit on the porch and watch feuding squirrels!

Hi Kathy,

I wondered if she found her watch too but she never came back to tell me and I didn't quite have the nerve to go ask.

Glad you enjoy my meanderings. You always say such nice things. :)

Hi Julie,

If the blonde drinks and drives again, I hope she doesn't drive by my house. I'm not sure she could navigate the narrow road. There's not one of us who wouldn't be watching her perform. I'm wondering if they would allow us to tape the action? :)

Hugs,

There's got to some excitement nearby. How far to the nearest bowling alley or Wal-Mart?

Interesting story (btw). Sounds like that woman needs to attend a few AA meetings....

I'm so glad no one was hurt, and I pray that young woman has learned a lesson.

Terrific account of the interesting happenings in your neck of the woods.

Luckily, nothing serious. She missed the light pole, my garage and the sign welcoming you into my town. The only damage was to her car. It was totaled.

When I saw the car, I just knew someone had been badly hurt. I didn't want to see how bad so I walked away. So many things "could" have happened and she walked away without a scratch...amazing!
