Unseen things at Harvest time

Oct 31 '09

The Bottom Line This season is more than just ghosts and goblins--its seeing the unseen and turning away from any indoctrination, we can believe

Its cooler today by at least 10 degrees since last night, 'devils night' at it is sometimes called, the night before pumpkin carving, candy-seeking, dressing up and hoopla !

Hoopla, what is that you ask ? Well IMO it is the combination of people, ritual, practises, fun, misery and things that go 'bump in the night' found at http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474977878708  on this particular last day of October. In regard to the study of the paranormal, Brad Steiger, J.B. Rhine, and http://www.enlightenment-psych.net/edgarcayce.htm are quite the influential authors I am submerging my consciousness into.

It is the celebration of the harvest, this halloween occurrence. The masquerading, the screeching, the dozens of kids that will be on our lawn in just four short hours from now. The condominium complex I reside in will be crawling with princesses, ghoulies, witches, goblins and superheroes--but what these youngsters lack is the real eseence of tonight. They also will lack the true understanding if it is just food and ptresents that symbolize the next two holidays following this one.

All Saints day on Sunday of which no real celebration I know of is yet to be commercialized; and then there is late November with the feast of poultry or ham and its full courses, then the Xmas something either goose, duck, beef roast whatever you decide to prepare culminating with the roast pork traditionally served to welcome in the new year . . .

All of these statements stem from two things: satiating appetite and appeasing the child in us allowing for 'playing'. It is a time where family comes together and enjoys the best they can, each others company. Halloween is the most inspiring kind of artful holiday in that with the commercial aspect it embraces and floods with costumes and candy--it also offers the mind some rather stimulating and diverse mind-bending. Thoughts about the things that we know least about, floods our consciousness in movies, books and even audio compact discs of favorite 'ghostly encounters' . . .

I am mentally challenged in a positive respect due to allowing my ego and weaknesses of the body and mind to fall to the wayside, and give creedence to having been given a resource that will help me choose wisely when faced with things I cannot explain. I am talking about a curiosity that helped me discover 'clairvoyance' found at
http://enlightenedpsych2.blogspot.com/2006/04/four-standard-spiritual-endowments.html  within my inner psyche. These unexplained experiences were repetetive happening at least twice a month and even more when tension in my life seemed more than I could handle.

"My confusion still lies now in
whether these sightings are not truly spontaneous because I continue to get visits and some of them are thought-about and silently requested to occur. For the most part though, the visits are unannounced, sometimes faceless, and unconditionally volunteering to remove any and all of my pain and suffering when I myself, cannot"

Maybe it is the nature of this holiday, maybe it is my in-depth studies of the unknown, seemingly. I do know that some of the most interesting thought has engulfed me these last few weeks because of some of the fabulous reviews I have read here from Epinion horror enthusiasts ! We make products stand out in the crowd sort of like movies being shown today all day regarding the genre of horror . . .

Thank you for reading and

Enjoy !
