Peapod's service was terrible. Never again!

Worst experience ever! Responding to a coupon in the mail i decided to try Peapod home delivery from Stop n Shop. I placed my order online on Sunday 12/26/2010 at 4:38pm. Delivery was supposed to take place between 4:30 and 9:30 pm on 12/28/2010. When my wife saw that nothing had come and no calls had been made by 9:20pm she decided to call Peapod to see what had happened. She was told that the delivery was en route. At 9:25pm a call came in from either the driver or the workmen on the truck asking me to walk a block and a half outside in the cold to pick up my groceries! I asked why and he replied that his truck can't make it to my home. I was shocked since both USPS, FEDEX, and UPS were able to make it fine as was my Mercury Mountaineer car. I told him i was not going to do that because that does not constitute delivery. After going back and forth i said fine, i'll go pick up my groceries from the store tomorrow as i always do. Just refund my money. He replied that he didn't think that i would get a refund. I said i will go to the store to pick up my groceries. i then called customer service to let them know what had happened and that i needed to cancel the order. I also asked to speak with a manager about the incident. After holding for 20 minutes i was told all managers are busy and couldn't speak to me! I was appalled! I said fine, just process my refund and let me be on my way. I was assured that the refund was processed and that a manager would call me that night. I got no call. The next day i looked at ,y account and the charge was still there. I called again and asked them to remove the charge. Spoke with their billing department and my bank on conference and was again assured the charge would be reversed before 5pm. I checked at 4pm and it looked like it was reversed. i then went to the store to pick up groceries, went to the cashier and my bank card declined! I was surprised so i told her to run it again. She did and it declined again. I called my bank only to be told that another charge of $90.33 was placed on my account from Peapod! I was livid! why was my card charged again!!! I called again and was told that it was a billing error that would be reversed immediately. It is now 12/30/2010 at 7:45pm EST and my account has still not been fixed!!! So now i still have to be waiting for Peapod to reverse a charge that never should have happened in the first place on top of shabby service!!!! Peapod needs to refund my money as promised and make this situation right! Never again. Peapod's service is terrible, their drivers are rude, and it seems to me that their customer service department doesn't communicate or else this situation would never have escalated!!1
