A lot of people like Burn. For me it did nothing, I love Raising Arizona and Fargo, I think they are excellent at "screwball comedies" but I found nothing redeeming about it. Still, A Serious Man looks great.
The Coen brothers have certainly earned the right to have a few misfires, I just think Burn was dissapointing.

have often been dubious about Coen brother movies, but found "Burn" quite funny, almost as much as "Raising Arizona" and more than "Fargo."

Yeah it's a really good film. Loaded with subtext and symbolism, and it's very entertaining and fun to watch. And I think it gets better with each viewing. Probably my favorite film of last year.

In Bruges again last night. Originally I included it in my top 10 list, and on re-viewing it again yesterday I really thought it was a great film all around - should have been Oscar nominated for best movie.
