scorpions made manageable (Reply to this comment)
by harrykrishna
back when, i couldn't tell the scorpions from yes, foreigner, journey, and even some lynyrd skynyrd. recently downloaded top 3 albums, per someone's list. didn't work for me. have now downloaded your 20, plus my favorite - "always somewhere". this does it for me. tanks.

Hello Paulphoto. I agree with you that "When The Smoke Is Going Down" is a great song. No argument from me there. Some at the top of my list made it on personal reasons like my #10 song. The song you refer too makes my 11-20 list without a doubt. I figured that song and "Big City Nights" not making my top 10 would make some wonder but, don't get me wrong. That's the reason why I made another list, because they just had so many good songs. Heck, I could do another list no problem as this is my favorite group lol.
Thanks for the comment and take care

I agree, Still Loving You deserves to be Number One. And Send Me an Angel has always been my favorite; very uplifting... a deep sense of self searching, philosophical, self realization and learning; I think that we all need it. But I wonder why When the Smoke is Going Down not on this list. Lyrics wise, it may not appeal much but is metaphorically sound.
Thanks for your recommendation!

I wonder how many younger listeners even know about the Scorpions. Bet the only track they MIGHT recognize is Rock You Like a Hurricane...
Great trip through the Wayback Machine!

great passion and power in some of their cuts (Reply to this comment)

They followed me, I followed them and for years there was at least one song that made some impact. I especially enjoyed Holiday each and every time I heard it-- still do. Its a timeless slow one.
