RECEIVED DAMAGED GOODS. Ordered 13 boxes of Power Bars (Pria 110 Plus) from one of Amazon's partners, bikesomewhere.com. The shipment arrived in a reasonable period of time; however, when I opened the box, the 13 boxes of Pria bars were severely damaged - so much so that I did not trust the safety of the contents. I immediately reported the problem on Amazon's site, requesting a replacement shipment. To date I have heard nothing from bikesomewhere.com. Amazon's policy for problems with their partner stores is for the consumer to deal directly with the third-party store, and their only involvement is to forward the complaint to that third party. Upon further investigation of some of these boxes of Power Bars, I discovered that every single bar in one box had one end of the wrapper cut off! Clearly the bars have been contaminated. It is also clear that there is no quality control at this vendor. My first impression when I opened the package was that these bars had already been returned to bikesomewhere.com, and they were recycling them to me.
Whereas for the most part I've had good experiences with Amazon.com in the past, I have discovered that they accept no responsibility for the companies they partner with. This is the second time I've purchased items through their partnerships and have gotten burned. The first time I wrote the CEO of Amazon and was told they felt the store's conduct was acceptable to them and did nothing about it.
