I was with SendMoreInfo since 1999, and today 2002 I have just quit them with $4.79 in my account (now lost forever.)
They used to pay you and average of about $0.05 per clicked link in the "junk email" you subscribe to. Now a days they have been averaging for me $0.0011 per clicked link.
Before I quit I went to the customer service page and expressed my concerns and received a response quite rapidly (IN LESS THAN ONE HOUR!!)
Here is what I sent:
----------------------
Subject: I will be quitting.
You think $0.0011 per click is worth my time? $0.05 was barely worth my
time, but it was enough.
With things the way they are now I would have to view nearly 10,000 emails to recieve any money from you ($10 being the minimum.)
Are you guys going bankrupt just like AllAdvantage went?
Just wondering before I delete my account.
-----------------
Here is what I received:
---------------
No, we are not going bankrupt. To cancel your membership, login to the web
site and your member's area will come up. Click on Delete Account located on
the left side in your member's area, there you can cancel your membership.
You may receive a mailing that was already in the process of being sent when
you quit but after that you will not receive any more from us. If you
continue to receive mail it would be coming from the advertisers and not
from us. Some advertising websites have to ability to collect email
addresses of anyone who visits their site. That we have no control over and
you will have to ask them to delete your email from their system. If you
delete your account you forfeit the commissions earned in your account.
