Beach Camera - Not A WALK ON THE BEACH . . . yet
by CyndiA | Jan 23 '02
Beach Camera . . . this image is grand. Hot sand. Sun out. Walking along (even in cyberspace). Stop and pick up a camera or such and capture those magical summer (or even winter) memories.

BC has TERRIFIC prices. When I did a search...

When looking for digital cameras or scanners or printers or really any computer related item, I always go to zdnet.com first and check their professional reviews and figure out which one is the best for my needs and my price range. Then, I hop over to Yahoo! Shopping and type in the search criteria. They have thousands of merchants and I very rarely find better deal elsewhere.

One note of caution, don't buy from a seller with less than 3 stars and stick with 4 if you can. Keep shipping costs in mind. Sometimes that can negate the good deal.

Another great place is netmarket.com. There is a small member's fee (sort of like Sam's), but they give you 200% of any price difference between them and other stores. If you find what you want there then try to find it cheaper elsewhere. If you can, buy it from them then send them the URL for the cheaper price and they send you a check for twice the difference. We made or saved $200 when we bought our digital camera. Thanks for the great review!

(-: Yes. Obviously I needed some help here. I was having one of those impulsive days. Any ideas on a photo printer. I want real photos that I can carry around and look at and not just on email files. I'll have to look up and see which one I thought I was getting (or may still be getting). It was HP I recall.

Hey Cyndi, you should know better than to do it on your own. That's what friends are for!!

In my 23 years in the USA I have tried almost every photographic mail order place. Now I don't waste my time, or my money. Forget the rest and go with the best. www.bhphotovideo.com and www.adorama.com

Those two are honest - no switcheroos, or lies about items being in stock when they're not - and both have very reasonable shipping and handling charges. The latter tends to have slightly lower prices, while B&H tends to have better inventory for professionals. Neither is great if you need advice though, they're better suited for shoppers who already know what they want. Just holler if you need more info. Gary.
