These are links to the books and reviews found in Epinions' database. The Coretta Scott King Awards are presented by the American Library Association (ALA) each year to honor African-American Authors and illustrators who have created the most outstanding children and young adult books of the preceding year. This was established in 1969 and the awards were initially given to authors but in 1979 this was expanded to include a separate award for illustrators. The awards to illustrators have not occurred every year and where not awarded this has been noted.
