Have you ever worked in a warehouse before? (Reply to this comment)

I guess not, otherwise you would understand that things get stolen from warehouses all the time.
It would be impossible to keep 100% track of literally millions of books and CDs. When something goes unshipped from any warehouse, the most likely cause is that a computer says it was in stock, but the item in question really does not exist in the store because as it was getting received in quantities of 1000's--one was damaged, 2 were lost (read-stolen) and 4 were never shipped (shorted by the supplier). So when the warehouse thinks it still has 7 of an item left, it cannot ship any of them because 6 are nowhere in the building and 1 more cannot be sold because it does not meet damage standards. The discrepancy gets corrected as soon as the item gets picked to be shipped, but there is that one customer (in this case-you) that has the bad experience with delayed ship times.
I understand that everyone has individual experiences with online retailers, but I have never had a problem ordering from amazon.com and receiving my items on time. I just feel sorry that you have had such a poor experience. What a run of bad luck.
