JL Audio:

The W0 subwoofers series is a very good line. I purchased two 12 inch W0's from my local Tweeters. Of course I didn't pay the cheapest for them, they are covered for 1 year by Tweeter's warranty. The speakers are all black and have white lettering that says "JL" in their patented design. I bought them for $110 a piece and put them in a $60 box that is built for them. Right now I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 120 amplifier powering them. It pumps out a decent amount of bass but it could use some more boost. The only thing that these speakers have done that I don't like is make some rattles in my car. I drive a 1994 Volkswagen Jetta GL and the thing rattles like crazy. I think dynomat is going to be the solution for that.

Specs:

The 12 inch JL subwoofer is a pretty powerful sub. It puts out 125 watts at maximum. This may not seem like a lot but it's perfect for good sound. Whether it be rap, country, rock, techno, etc... anything works. The subwoofer is a 4 Ohm speaker like most subwoofers, so it won't damage your ears too much. Just dont' listen to it for hours on end at high levels. This will destroy your ears. I have even started to notice a change in my hearing and I only bought these speakers a couple of months ago. I will have to say this is the perfect addition to a killing sound system. All I need now is a newer head unit that does graphics. Then I would have a killer system.

Installation:

These speakers are really easy to put into any box, as long as your eyes can see the + and - on a wire. Once into the box make sure you have the logos level so they don't look twisted and distorted. After this installing the box and subs into your car isn't too hard but it requires more experience than + and -. I recommend going to a local car audio store and paying the installation fees for having them installed. It's worth the money and plus you usually get a warranty with installation. Just be careful when you turn your car on after installation. You won't be ready for the amount of bass you have been missing out on.

Why?:

Why should you buy these subwoofers? As I stated before these speakers add to any system a lot. They offer the deep sounding bass all the way up to the high pitch bass. Any genre of music will play perfect with these speakers. When used for rock, it sounds like it is a live concert and when playing rap it sounds like people are rapping right next to you. It will help any car stand out in a crowd, whether you have one worthy or not. Also it impresses most people, well at least people who understand a nice car. Plus your friends will love riding in your car. Just watch out, don't get pulled over. I have been pulled over 4 times for having these babies pumping too loud and I have 1 ticket to show for that. Just watch out!
