| jamesngu's Full Review: HandEra 330 |
I was one of the first person to pre-order the handera 330, and when it came I was not disappointed. However, with use I became annoyed at the machine's large and bulky size compared with the palm m505 and the clie PEG-T415. It utilizes 4 AAA batteries and made the unit very heavy. In addition, the lithium battery module was a prohibitively costly option. More annoying was the fact that many of my programs which ran fine of my old palm Vx did not work on the handera. Like its predecessor, the TRG Pro, it crashed alot. The larger screen is remarkable when the virtual graffiti area is pulled down, but many programs do not support this function. Even when the graffiti area had disappeared, many programs did not utilize the extra space. In all, the lack of software support and the bulky size made me change to a different pda. I would like handera to make a slimmer machine and retain either the cf or sd (more preferable because of its smaller size) slot, but not both. They should also update the hotsync port. As with compatibility, I think handera should get with the program and address these issues.
