I was in the market for the 5 disc and wanted yamaha because the remote for my receiver Yamaha RX-V393 allows me to control cds and tapes. The design is cool and the sound quality is awesome. The noise is the only drawback I can say. It is loud but I can deal with it. I read a bunch of reviews and everyone liked this but they did complain about the noise. Other complaints were the remote control. I make alot of mixed tapes for the car and the quality of the tape is incredible. I would recommend this to any potential consumer but it is noisy. I was looking for the best 5 disc player from Yamaha and I think I got it.
