Before I read epinions' review I had already ordered over $2,000 worth of shades for my entire apartment. Mine has a lot of windows.
I immediately started worry as soon as I read what ppl had to say about their experiences with Smith+noble at epinion.
My order was being late just like lots of others had experienced. I started to expect to receive shades with lots of problems, too.
My emails to S+N weren't getting answers fast but did receive every response, though. I tried LIVE HELP and was successful 3 out of 10 times.
I finally received my orders 2 1/2 weeks later. I checked every single shade to make sure if there were defects. None found.
Installed them one by one and the hardest thing was to drill a hole on the wall which isn't S+N's fault, of course.
When installation was complete I was actually very satisfied with the easiness of installation procedure, the fabric quality of the shades (Solar Shades & Honey Comb double cell), the helpfulness of customer service reps and the shades' performance.
Everything I ordered for, I received them without any missing screws. Overall, I would highly recommend, actually, to others.
What I am thinking is perhaps S+N received so many complaints in prior years they stepped up and resolved many of their issues...
No, I didn't use their home measuring service or interior service. I measured each window on my own and this is actually the first time ever to buy and install shades on my own.
