I have a one-year-old daughter and this has become an indispensable piece of my life. An evening with friends? Bring the pack-n-play. Your child sleeps in the master bedroom? Get the pack-n-play. Your child is sick and you want them near? Get the pack-n-play. Traveling to the in-laws? Bring the pack-n-play. Staying in a hotel? Bring the pack-n-play. Going to a friends for the afternoon? Bring the pack-n-play.
The point is, this is a very versatile piece of equipment that will... catch your breath.. LAST FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR!!!
The pack-n-play folds up into a rectangle 3.5' x 2' and fits into most all car trunks. It comes with a fairly durable cover that has endured 8 flights in the cargo hold for my family, and has a convenient handle to carry this lightweight gem.
For the personal story...
Our daughter was terribly colicky for the first 8 months, the only way she would sleep was when she was near us and had almost instant access to my wife for nursing. The pack-n-play was a godsend due to the fairly small size and easy portability. Since we travel quite often, the durability of the equipment was important. The pack-n-play was terrific and met or exceeded almost all expectations.
The only down side, that may be a positive in another light... this is a difficult piece to take down. READING THE INSTRUCTIONS HELPS, but I still take 5 minutes to get it down and packed away.
This is a solid piece of equipment that I highly recommend for those on the go.
