I have never been one of those people who feel the need to "keep up with the Jones'" I like what I do, and I do what I like. One of my favorite hobbies, though, is watching the wild birds come to my window feeding station all year long. I always used to just buy whatever bird food was cheapest at my local store - the bird came, they ate it, they seemed happy and so was I :) Then - all of a sudden - EVERY single one of my neighbors started hanging bird feeders! Suddenly there was so much feed to choose from - I lost a lot of my feathered friends :( Then I got a catalog in the mail from Gardens Alive which had a coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase! I was psyched! So I went to their website and couldn't believe all the YUMMY sounding bird food they offered. I bought suet peanut balls, bluebird gourmet protein mix, High quality no waste bird seed with peanuts and shelled sunflower seeds and an AWESOME wooden feeder for feeding whole peanuts in the shell (which nuthatches, titmice, and bluejays love!) They also had a great deal on flowering vines - so bought a few of them which will be shipped to me in time for spring planting! My package arrived today and I put some of the food out for the bird. My feeding station is FULL again! :) The neighbors feeders don't stand a chance competing with mine now that I have found this awesome supplier. When I factor in the lack of waste with this food (birds eat it ALL!) the cost really isn't bad and I have heard that they often offer coupons! I am sure I will shop there again soon! :)
