I decided to contact "Quicken Loans" after viewing several TV commercials and one of my neighbors mentioning that he had used them for refinancing.  "Quicken Loans" was not my first choice for my refinancing - I had already contacted my local bank.'

It turned out that the Quicken process was so simple and straightforward compared to my local bank's process that I decided to go with them.

It turned out to be the right decision.  Everything from the appraisal to the exchange of documents was as simple and uncomplicated.

My email and telephone contacts with the Quicken personnel were always polite and instructions or requests for information easy to understand.  I was impressed that there was no 'add-on' selling during the process.

The appraiser called and made an appointment and was on time.  There were one or two small practical problems to sort out, such as a blank missing on the fuse panel, but he was very willing to stop back again the next day and confirm they had been corrected.

The closing paperwork was sent by UPS and the Notary Public, who was to help/oversee us with the process was on time, very polite and efficient.  The check arrived less than a week later.

Mortgage payment instructions followed shortly afterwards and again the instructions were very clear and concise.

This has altogether been a surpisingly easy and efficient process and I wouldn't hesitate to suggest "Quicken Loans" to any of my friends who were considering refinancing or obtaining a first mortgate.

I should also mention that the interest rate was also 0.25% better than my local bank!
