Ordering is very easy and quick, customer service stinks (don't they all?) and extremely dissatisfied with the service. You cannot preview the service and don't know what you are getting until after you buy. OK, I am a big fan of my local team and love watching the games. Only problem is we live in a somewhat rural suburb with no cable. So we use a carefully placed, amplified antenna system pointed towards the city (we are on high ground) and can pull in about 30 DTV over the air stations. Only about 1 game per week is broadcast over the air, so we always missed out on all the others, although they were available on cable. So MLB.TV seemed like the perfect choice. In reviewing the description, they briefly mentioned a black-out possibility on some games, but we were never able to locate a detailed description or schedule of these black-outs. They made it sound like it was only a few special games. So this was an acceptable drawback. It was a week before the season started and I signed up and made my payment for the year. The next day I was thrilled to view a live spring training game. The picture quality was good, I was able to listen to our local announcers and even open pip windows with the box score and other features. There were buttons for replay, stop, etc, although I didn't try them - I would experiment with them later. Before I knew it, it was opening day. I planned my whole day around watching the game on MLB as it was not broadcast on TV. I fired up the PC and to my disappointment the game was blacked out. I was able to listen to audio over the internet, but I can do that with my radio. Oh well, I guessed that being opening day, this was one of those special occasions that was blacked-out. The next day, the 2nd game was televised so I watched it on the TV since we have a large screen. For curiosity, I checked out the PC and it was available there too. On day 3, the game was blacked-out. On day 4, the game was blacked out. On day 5, the game was blacked out. What the heck is going on here? As I dug deeper I learned that the games that are not broadcast over the air are shown on cable and apparently they have exclusive rights which bars MLV.TV. What a rip-off. The service was absolutely useless to me. I felt as though I had been suckered into buying this service through false advertising. I was furious! So I logged into the MLB site, but found no explanation. I wanted my money back. And here is where the frustration built up. First, you have to hunt their site to determine how to cancel. After a few canned replys and a few days, MLB confirmed that my subscription was cancelled - after the current season came to an end. I wanted a refund as the service was useless, but MLB rejected my request stating that refunds were not issued. I have filed a complaint with my credit card provider and also submitted reports to the BBB and federal authorities.
